"Have you been to all 50 states twice over now?"

I must give credit for this visit-all-fifty-states-again idea to my good ol' friend Pat Peeve (of "N'Awlins and Baton Rouge"), who left this offhanded Facebook comment after I returned from a Hawaii vacation (my fourth visit to Hawaii) last August.

"... Have you been to all 50 states twice over now? ..."

This got me thinking. No, I have not been to all 50 states twice over now, but why not make that happen? And not in four decades, and not in a rush-rush whirlwind tour either. I'll do it in one calendar year. Next year. The year I turn 50. 50/50 2010!
