Our First Hawaii Morning

It was late and dark when we checked in last night, but the full moon on a clear night was as helpful as it was beautiful. This morning, we get started with a big breakfast of french toast. Lisa likes the '70s style kitchen, as it reminded her of her childhood.

Everything and everybody moves real slow in Hawaii - and the burners on this stove were no exception.





Ah ... french toast and eggs (and Aunt Jemima!) for breakfast. This was our first meal, and the last one we ate at the dining table. We discovered that eating outside on the deck table was incomparable to dining anywhere else.

As we all know, "everything tastes better outdoors." Especially if we can see the occasional whale playing in the ocean!




This sign is just outside our front door. In Hawaii, it's common to remove your shoes before entering the home. We were more than compliant to partake in this tradition. We frequently left our shoes off when we went outside as well!

We made another run to a food store this morning. We did a little better than last night's frantic food run where a couple bags of groceries cost over $55!

All in all, we liked buying our own food and preparing it in the condo.





This is Lisa's very first dip into the Pacific Ocean. Yes, it's the same body of water along San Francisco, but nowhere near as cold.

I put the camera away after this shot so we could frolic in the surf. We spent a lot of time on the beach, and since electronics and water don't mix, you won't see many photos away from land.
